Age: 8 Graduation Date: 2023 Year in School: 2nd grade Height: 4’5 Training Hours & Months: 71 hours over 29 months What I love most about the BYOP® training: Player: I love learning volleyball skills and making new friends. Mom: I love watching my daughter grow not only into an athlete who loves the sport of volleyball but also as a person. She has learned and can execute good volleyball skills such as passing, setting, serving and hitting. She has also learned the importance of listening, following directions and being a team player. It is incredible to watch her transform all while she has a big smile on her face. Dad: I enjoy learning volleyball skills with my daughter. It is fun watching her grow as an athlete, and I get to spend time with her doing something she loves. #3 Age: 8 Year in School: 3rd grade Height: 4' 5 1/4" Training Hours & Months: 23 hours over 6 months What I love most about the BYOP® training: Player: I love three things. They are bumping, spiking and jump roping! Dad: "What I love about BYOP® is the quality time that my daughter and I get to spend together learning the game of Volleyball. The drills are fast paced and fun and teach both of us the proper techniques that will improve with her as she learns to play the sport. Mom: The BYOP® program is teaching me correct volleyball techniques and skills, while spending valuable time with my daughter. Now that I know the proper form, I can assist both of my daughters outside of lessons. Additionally, the BYOP® program gives me enjoyment while seeing the kids play and learn at the same time! #5 Age: 9 Year in School: 3rd grade Height: 4’7” Training Hours & Months: 20 hours over 4 months What I love most about the BYOP® training: Player: I get to learn the basics of volleyball with loved ones (mom and friends), and I get better every week! Mom: The benefits of BYOP® training are undeniable. My daughter has been able to develop fundamental volleyball skills while I have gained some basic training techniques and keywords to help her continue her training at home. This program has motivated both of us to take home what we learn in the one-hour-a-week training and practice it. Even if we don’t have a net, a ball, and a court, we have useful exercises (like jump roping, tennis ball tossing, and footwork). We can perform these so that she can continue to develop as a player. I love the progressive skill development, the camaraderie, the intensity and the fun of it. What I love most about BYOP is seeing my daughter so excited about training! Dad: While I haven’t gotten to formally participate in the BYOP® program with my wife and daughter, I have enjoyed seeing what they are learning at the training. They bring home exercises that the whole family practices right in our living room. It has also been fun to hear my daughter’s feedback about training from a 9 year old player’s perspective. She LOVES it, therefore I love it! |
